Placeholder Andrew is part of my exploration of the body as both subject and landscape. The figure is rendered through a predominantly blue palette, shifting between representation and abstraction as the body becomes less a portrait of an individual and more a site for examining perception, vulnerability, and identity. I am interested in the tension between the recognizable human form and the ways colour, gesture, and mark-making can disrupt that recognition.
